Course: Dessert, Snack
Keyword: dark chocolate, Dates, maple syrup, tahini
Servings: 12 Dates
- 12 Large Pitted Dates (I use Deglet Noor or Medjool Dates)
- 3 tbsp Tahini
- 1 tsp Maple Syrup
- pinch Sea Salt (To taste)
- 3 tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips
Optional
- pinch Sesame Seeds (For topping)
Arrange dates on a small pan or dish.
Cut halfway into the dates to open them up. Do not cut all the way through, you want it to hold the tahini filling.
Mix tahini, maple syrup and salt together in a small microwaveable bowl.
Spoon the tahini filling into the dates.
Once all the tahini mixture is used, you can melt the dark chocolate chips in the same bowl.
I melt the chocolate chips in my microwave in increments of 30 seconds (it will depend on your microwave as to how many times).
Spoon the melted chocolate onto the top of the stuffed dates.
Optional - Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of chocolate.
Place in freezer for approximately 15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
You are then ready to enjoy!
